I want to like Iylana, and most times I do, but her coaching methods can certainly turn me off at times.

The other day when she actually smelled Jill was so inappropriate. And the time she fell on the floor when someone was telling their story was so wrong.

For me the flash and trash of her coaching gets in the way of her message.

I generally like Iyanla and those she coaches really seem to like her as well, though I don't think she is for everyone. I have not agreed with her ways on everything though.. for me she crossed the line when she gave Allison that foot massage.. whew that one blew me away.. for me it was crossing the line of professionalism. But I had a few problems with the way she handled her "pet" Allison.. that's a whole nother thread though lol

I'll stand for her!! That is her famous words. When you can't stand for yourself, She'll stand for you, and I believe she would. She strikes me as a "woman of honor", if you will. I think she is about the best life coach I have ever seen, she gets to know these women personally, and she lets you know that she doesn't think she is one bit better than they are.....I like her for that.

I love her no matter what. She can smell Jill and fell on the floor all she wants, I'll still love her.

I think the reason Iyanla "petted" on Allison so much was because of the connection between Allison and the daughter she lost to cancer. If I were on SO I would prefer Iyanla.

I agree with you Mystique. Definitely different coaching styles will not only appeal to different women, but work (or not) for different women!!

There have been some exercises that I really liked and would have preferred Rhonda.

I am glad for the differences in their styles...but I would have liked to see more consistency in dealing with negative issues!!
