I know a person who has a masters from Cambridge in English Lit and she works at an entry position at the Gap.

The reasons why are complex but I'll just say that she has low self esteem and this has prevented her from getting a position in her field and at the level she should be at given her age.

She's going to enter a PhD program soon, and after that I worry she'll go right back to the Gap.

Sometimes that is easier than believing in yourself, claiming your knowledge and power and becoming more than you are now. Sad.

Well, Lisa was accurate regarding her college education. She has an Associate Degree and a B.S., both in International Affairs. They were obtained in 1984 and 1987 respectively.
And it is a matter of public record.
