Starting Over Talk - Peer Coaching Support Site

Everybody is talking about gossip in the house. What is happening on these boards is gossip. Jessica also moved to California this year - why has there not been any talk about her move. I think this years SOH hgs got really close after they put away their differences. Jessica shows up at all the graduations since she left. I don't think they would fly her in from New York to attend them. What a great way to start over than to move to a new city and start a new life where no one knows you or your past.

What does Jessica have to do with Gossip? She was pretty upfront that she was staying in the LA area since she had family there.

Yes, we all are involved in gossip to one degree or another pertaining to these boards.... But I think most of us are feeding on the info the show puts out and often times even misleads the viewers. I know I like to be honest but also try to put a positive spin on my posts. Only exception so far is Lisa #1's situation. I am not hateful...but I just am not banking on much hope for her to get the help she needs at SO. I question her intentions of being on the show to begin with. I really do believe the rumor I heard on another site that she was a very active and goofball type poster from the old SO site... (Wasn't there alot of them there?) If she wasn't holding down a job, then she sure had more than enough time on her hands to post thousands of posts at the old site and be free to take a few months off to apply to SO for the fun and thrill of it! But I am only speculating... I have no clue if it really is true...

If the HG's didn't want the scrutiny and the help then they probably shouldn't have applied to the show. I know I sure couldn't deal with the scrutiny!

Well.........I'm also not sure about Jessica's involvement with this particular post.


But about Gossip:

Yes, it exists. But gossip in it's "accepted" meaning is really more about being outright nasty, catty, getting much of a "high" over the telling tales about people.


Venting.....frustration, irritation, calling a spade a spade, learning from behaviors, is more about those who really WANT to learn, watch, grow from situations and have ups and downs along with others (obviously I'm talking about this t.v. format that we discuss on the boards!). But this is really without "glee" or ill intent.

Confiding, asking for advice....going to one...maybe more for a point of view from those you really respect and/or learn from. Sometimes that can help to back up something you already feel. Sometimes that can give you a whole new perspective. Again, not done with ill intent.


Okay...........so if this post wasn't a question about what gossip is and why or why not it's okay and if we all do it.....I'm sorry, then I misunderstood the intent of it.

I love GOSSIP!

If people weren't interested in SO Gossip they wouldn't be coming to sites like this...lol
