where is Iyanla? I haven't seen her on the show in a while! I love her! I wish she was working with kim and Her mom !

I so agree. This "fierce" conversation between Melinda and Kim (with the help of Dr. Stan) didn't work for me. In fact, it made me feel bad for Melinda and I dislike Kim even more.

Hopefully, Iyanla will be back next week.

I agree with you luvtherapy, I think she is great. I get encouraged just listening to her. I think her methods are great hey those women are starting over and without her and brenda they wouldn't. I am trying to find one of her numerous books that work in my life which could probably be any of them. Glad to be here and hope starting over never leaves tv. I love it.

I read here that Iyanla is a Yoruban priestess. When I googled it, I was sure surprised. I love old school mambo music, have been a fan for many years. (Celia Cruz is my idol.) I understand Spanish, but there were always many words I never knew the exact meaning of - African words - and what do you know? They are Yoruban words! I know lots of them. Man - I had NO idea we were calling on the gods themselves at times! I'm not even sure some of the modern composers realize what they are writing - at least, not the younger people. Even my friends from the islands don't know the meanings.

But now I get IYANLA in a whole new way. The "flavah" is the same. There is a part in much of the music where the singer calls out (loudly) to the "tribe" and to the whole universe. And the response is sung by everyone else. That is, I know the feel of it very well, that calling out thing Iyanla does. It's very powerful, very tribal, and it's a blast. I even knew there was a little bit of Iyanla that reminded me of Celia and that I liked that about her. I just never had a way to put 2 and 2 together and understand why until now. Now I HAVE to learn more!

Okay, it's now official. I'm really worried. Where is Iyanla? I few days being gone is one thing, but this is ridiculous. Has someone given an explaination for her absence and I missed it?
