Yes, for some reason, I think I remember that he had died. Whoo! Have those two got some stuff to get through! I haven't even begun to understand why Kim is so open to her mom's version of the past at this point.

I think Christie's father died in a car accident.

The repeat episode when Kim came into the house on the President's day holiday she mentioned that she did talk to her dad about every three months or so. Not real close...but kept in touch.

Just a thought this afternoon... This was such a surprise to find this info at TIVO... that Kim's mom was replacing Jill.

Now that it has had time to sink in... it could be that she won't be there as a typical houseguest with her own set of goals and everything. Maybe they'll just use the opportunity to help expedite Kim's process in a controlled environment with counselors. Maybe she'll be there only a short amount of time.. or until Kim graduates.

Wow! I hate to say it, but I'm looking forward to seeing Kim's expression when her Mom walks though the door!

I think that is will be beneficial to Kim to have her Mom in her face so to speak and I dont mean that in a bad way; I think that Kim has a way of detaching herself from life's situations, she has developed a powerful defensive technique, like peeling a 1000 layered onion.

I think this will be great for her and her mother!

I think you're right, KP. She may be a "short-termer" like Maureen, or just a few days' visitor.

I can't imagine they would spring a current guest's mother, especially one who caused her such pain, into the house without Kim's knowledge. Hailey and Lynelle came in together by mutual agreement. This would be much different.
