Okay, I'm new here. I think that the book we're going to read is Wicked, but I don't see where anyone has started to chat about it yet. Is someone going to start a thread when this is definite and we should start reading????

I read it already. It is different, but for me it was hard to get into. I read alot of fantasy, romance, thriller so maybe this is just not the right genre for me. It was a boring alot of the time.

Hi Katgo!

I read your post. Grizzly and I have started to chat about it a little in a thread titled WICKED.

Finished the section called Munchkinland and am now in the section called Gillikin.

This book is not an exciting adventure but it is interesting. There are bits that are tedious but, I kind of skim those.

I do find it interesting to see where this author is going with the whole story. At this point I kind of get the impression that little green Elphaba may have been the ostrasized and bullied child and Glinda was not the lovely ladylike witch in the beautiful sparkly gown.

Also, it is interesting to see this version of the story. The Wizard of Oz is just one of many books written in that series. The Munchkins were not the only inhabitants of Oz.

So far, I think I am enjoying it. But, then, I just got finished reading My Sister's Keeper - and need something that is totally out there crazy. That book was too too sad.

So, now, we can either continue to discuss here, or we can move it to WICKED thread.

Up to you and Grizzly. Just post where you decide and I will find you!
