Loved this book, Tara. I found the "religious" questions it raises wonderful food for thought. Have you read the Gospel of Mary?

I have never "bought" the idea that women are the "second class" members of the human race the "church" depicts us as. This book highlights that for me.

I also enjoyed this book - not so much for the story but for the issues it raised.

The book enables the reader to explore the possibility religion was not originally such a male-dominated concept. And, it makes you wonder 'what happened' along the way to become what it is today.

If anyone wants to read another book regarding Mary Magdalene, you can try The Woman with the Alabaster Jar, author's last name is Starbird, I think. It was very informative.

Did you all see the previews for the movie? Tom Hanks!!!! I think it'll be a good movie!!!
