He broke up with her. His reason, as he stated in their phone call today, is they were "going down different paths". Jessica says she was controlling in the relationship. And that he replaced her mother.

Yeah, it seemed to me that although there were still friendly feelings and certainly nothing nasty between them that it is better they each find someone different!!

I thought she said she broke up with him - that she controlled everything. Wasn't TJ advising her to "take him back"?
Sorry - the episode was so confusing, I may be totally wrong LOL

The whole Omar thing was confusing. Another example of the lousy editing they have been doing.

At first I thought Jessica was blaming Omar for her desire to leave New York and then I thought she wanted him back, and at the end of her phone conversation with him I was not clear about what the deal was.

I think she was saying she stayed with him so long because she needed a mother substitute.
