Still searching for a church to call home, for a church to join. I wonder what is wrong with me, and with us, that we can't find a church we feel led to be a part of. There is no perfect church, and I read in a devotional if you find one, don't join it, because you will wreck it, it won't be "perfect" any longer.

Today we went to an Evangelical Free Church. It is too far to drive every week, but were meeting friends there. We met afterward for lunch, and to discuss the possibility of starting something similar, or even a bible study or revival meetings closer to where we both live. God has his plans, we just need to be patient and willing to follow the call. Does anyone have background in E Free churches?? It was a very good service, and I loved the music, which was more contemporary than my husband tends to listen to. He appreciated the live instruments, his least favorite is canned music.

One of my best friends ex-husbands goes to the Evangelical Free church here in town. I know that they have a great Childrens group here and a lot of people attend. I am a more traditionalist so it doesn't fit my worship style. I was raised a Congregationalist and now go Presbyterian, even though I am not close with everyone there and don't go as often as I would like. It is very hard when you lose a loved one, like my first son, to try to keep the faith so I understand where momof2 is coming from.
