Starting Over Talk - Peer Coaching Support Site

Hi All!

I've been a member of SOT since April of 2005 and have been watching SO since the beginning. Only this season have I been able to catch it during the day as opposed to 1:00 am.

I am a webdesigner among other media products; you can find me in the SOT marketplace. I am a 37 year old mother of three (17, 14,13). I've had a real tough year. My dad was suddenly ill for three weeks and then passed away. The day after his funeral, my 13 year old son got into legal trouble. I need to start over myself at times and therefore find a sort of comfort in the show. I've related to way too many of these women!!! I have a ...hmm... colourful background I guess you could say and have met many people from many lifestyles and find a compassion for most people. That coupled with my inner strength and belief that everything happens for a reason, help me get through the trials and tribulations. Starting Over is something all women should be able to do at some point...or many points...in their life.

As a moderator, if you have any complaints, issues or concerns, you are more than welcome to private message me. And certainly, if you wish to try writing a recap of the show, private message me for that as well and I'll find a way of squeezing you into our schedule.

I just phoned the number posted on one of the message boards for the NBC office and spoke to Ms. Linnell. She said they have now created a dedicated phone line for all people calling to request that Starting Over be renewed. She gave me the number 818-777-0244 and transferred me to it.

She said that NCB will be documenting every phone call that goes to that line. We should get this number out to as many supporters of Starting Over as possible in order to stop phone calls from bothering Ms. Linnell - and to do the most good possible to keep the show on the air.

Thanks for the info! I believe the number is also posted on another thread, which is great, because not all members have time to read all of the threads.

I thought the 818-777-0244 was probably out there somewhere, but today is my first day to actually register and participate. I'm not sure where the best central repository of information should be.
I see that on the homepage of 'startingovertalk.com' the other number is still listed and not this new one.
Any suggestions?
