I was so amazed with allison's ability to finally be emotionally all there with Iyanla today. It was a very inspiring episode for me to watch Iyanla assist Allison in her moving forward and away from her uncomfortable childhood. It was one of those moments that had me crying like a baby.
I just hope that Allison can hold on and continue to move forward now that she has started to deal with her childhood hurts.

Me too. That painting made me cry. I felt so emotional and sad so I can't imagine how Ali must have felt. The 2nd painting made me tear up as well. The difference was beautiful. I truly hope that Ali can begin to really heal and fully meet her original goal of learning to live. I am so glad that IY is helping here confront her past. I'm excited to see that changes that will hopefully happen.

I was really proud of Allison today. Her guarded walls are coming down and she is allowing herself to feel and this is a very good thing. I hope she continues in her progress and growth.

It broke my heart to hear Allison speak of wanting to take her life when she was younger. Been there--just wanting the pain to go away. I had no idea. Can sure identify with the pain and rage in that picture. Here I thought it was the cancer with kept her from moving forward.

I think the drawings were the perfect exercise for Allison. It helped her to see what everyone else sees when she puts on her fake smile. The first picture was overwhelming. But, the second one was beautiful. I think these last two days were a powerful awareness for Allison and now maybe she can heal her past and move forward.

I totally agree with all of you! I was very moved by Allisons exercise today. I see a different look it in her face. I think its like she is relieved that it's finally all come out. I sometimes set and think about some of the little things in my life that bothers me. I hear other peoples stories, and the little things don't even compare.
