Met with the dr today. She reports that though I have 3 cists on one ovary and 2 on the other, she has no concerns as the ovaries are not enlarged at all. As for the fibroids, apparently that was my doc's suspicion and none were found in the ultrasound. Basically then, it goes like this for now. It's all because I'm a smoker! I must quit smoking or the pain at period time will worsen and any birth control, etc they would normally give me to help ease it will not matter. I'm 37 and apparently at 35, periods get this rough and smoking makes it worse. The cists are "good" cists, whatever that means!

I am glad to hear that the cysts are good cysts and that the doctor is not concerned. I am also very happy for you in the fact that there aren't any fibroids.

Can I just say how happy I am that this stress was relieved somewhat before watching Jill's story? Can you imagine what I'd have feared if I were learning of cists and fibroids now? Wow!
