YES, Me & My other Ticket went to see Wambui tonight! No, could not get anyone else to go! Lfe can be disgusting for me! I almost didn't go but made myself. Sat in the back row guarding my knee from these rowdy kids from high schools (must have been for class) - palce was WILD til the lights went out! I saw myself walking out but trying with as much Patience as I could muster...I stayed. Before the lights went out one 'broad' hit my shoulder & said something like, "that's quite the look!" or some doggone thing like that...thought I detected alcool on her!



Anyway, the Show was not exactly as last one but on same order, told her life with Bipolar & how she handled & didn't handle it...family members, husbands, kids schooling. Docs, medications, denials, the whole gammit...reception afterwards in the Lobby but you know what I did when the show was over...YUP...headed for the door to my car and back into my comfort zone!

That's my story & I'm sticking to it.

Glad you went! Even if you didn't stay for the reception, I am so proud of you for going! I know the feeling of not wanting to leave your comfort zone.

Could you see any of the picutures of her photo album on her website? She was a speaker at several NAMI conventions. That is so inspiring. I was a member of NAMI as a consumer, still recieve the Iris, their newsletter. Good support group, both locally and nationally.

This is the SECOND time I saw her...I was so in awe the first time...I wrote my whole experience of getting out of the house, how I felt, what the atmosphere was like, how I perceived her detail to the illness of Bipolar, and I got an email from her site!
