The religion class i am taking is looking at most religions. It is interesting that there are different theories in religion itself. I can't really explain it other than if you believe you take everything as is. If you don't then you don't. I amnot sure where I fall. Religion and faith is hard for me. It means that my daughter was punished for no reason. I have a big time problem with that. I have more of an eastern philosphy then a western one. We were always allowed to follow what ever religion we wanted i am still not sure yet which one i follow.

Curly when you find the right one for you, you will know and embrase it.
There are no rules that you have too follow.
You have to learn before you can find the one for you.
I am sure you will and you already have a belief that there is a greater perpose for all of us to follow.

Growing up I went to a Parochial School. Religion was part of the ciriculum and I enjoyed going to 'chapel' every Wednesday. I enjoyed that school & found love from the teachers.

My Mom went there as a child and so did her Father. His parents attended the church, also. I just felt like it was not only a part of me but it was me. I didn't ever think I belonged anywhere else, in any other religion. The Pastor we have had for some time now is very awesome! He has been there for me when imes were really out of control, been a friend to me when I needed him. I was blessed with the relationshipI ahve with him.

That's my 50cent!

Why do you say punished? Where does that come from? It was no one's fault, not your daughter's, or yours. We are all given strenghs, we are all given weaknesses.

I know you are strong, and so is your daughter. There is a reason for it all, even if we don't see it now.

Curly please do not take the words too mean exactly as stated in the Bible.
You must never forget Man wrote the words Not God.
A lot of the bible is mans interpretation of the Lords words and actions.
Man is not perfect and nor are his words.
God did not punish any of his children.
We are not born or become disabled because we ever did anything wrong in Gods eyes
God is love! not guilt, or hate, or blame!

Did anyone see the story on Dtaeline of the young man, Aaron, that had to break his own bones and cut off his hand to survive....after 6 days in the desert....
He said that his life is taking on so much meaning....etc...that he would not have changed the experience just to have his hand back.
There is so much we don't get...
and I think alot of it we never will...in this life.
Some horrific things are man's fault....
Some horrific things that I can't explain happen...
But I think God turns them around and uses them for good.

Anyone see the movie " Pay It Forward" ?
I loved that movie....
and I think that was the message.
