Did you hear anyone say that Christainity is just a crutch, you don't stand up for yourself, or accomplish things on your own, you don't stand on your own two feet??

Well, our pastor said last Sunday that he is proud to have Christainity as a crutch. We lean, we are weak. We are not to lean on our own understanding, the Bible states. We are not self-sufficient, but Christ sufficient.

I never heard it put that way before. Thought I would share.

I think I get the drift of what he is saying but really do not agree
But it is an interesting to think about.

we are talking about that now in religion class. It is interesting to see how many really intellegnt people believe that religion is a crutch.

That is the thing about spirituality...there is nothing scientific about it.
Faith is knowing and believing without seeing.
God says we are strongest when we are weakest....then we depend on Him....not our own strength......

I am HAPPY to be Christ-sufficient!

I wouldn't be here if I weren't! He has "carried" me through my life... and I am always proud to say so!
