I have to agree whole-heartedly! And I'm so happy for some wonderful progress for Jill today! There are definitely some of these exercises that mean a lot personally!!

I also agree that today's assignment with Jill was very powerful. It was very nice to see that by letting go of her victim status she was able to move a few steps forward. I hope this lesson carries with her, and wish her more great steps toward her goal.

I am so glad that Jill completed the baggage assignment. I feel even though they took it to the limits, Jill can now feel a sense of self worth. Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

when Jill did the puppet show with Iyanla sure hit a lot nerves over here...as my ex-husband told the judge when we were in court setting up child support and visitation...that he had no children...and even if he did he doesnt want them in his life ever...fortunately the judge knows my kids very well...they used to wait on him at the weekly fish frys that our church used to have...my ex was ordered to pay lifetime support to the two "invisible" children that he doesnt have and was told that since the kids were "invisible" to him that he would never be granted visitation with them...now those very same children are adults...18 and 21...and the state still takes child support from his paychecks every week and sends it to the kids to do what they want with it...

the 18 y/o is in college on a full scholarship, so the money he receives is extra spening money for him...and the 21 y/o is saving it and using it toward a down payment on a house that she and her husband want to buy...

both of the kids were devastated when one day they saw their father and they went up to him and said "hi dad" and he just looked at them and asked them "do i know you?"...he doesnt know how much that hurt them...he didnt have to hold and comfort them when they came home crying and very upset...they still cant understand why he would deny them...it is very rough on all of us...

I'm so sorry Pinky, that has to have been very sad. What a strong and loving mom you have been for them. I think one of the many lessons that I definitely take away from the exercises is how I can be the best mom to my kids that I can!! Not only do I want to be very different than my parents, but I learn some of the "how-to's" by watching. Obviously some of the exercises don't apply, but I try to glean what I can!!
