For those who have not seen the show today (10/20/05) you may not want to read this yet....however, here are my thoughts on Miss Lisa.
When revealing her big, dark, secret the only emotion I saw was "fake". How can somebody cry w/o tears? She does this consistently. The secret itself is nothing new (every houseguest seems to have the same issue). My take on her "big" reveal:
1. It appeared to me that Rhonda was "leading" Lisa right into what she wanted to be said. If you carefully watch the eye movements and body language, it appears that Rhonda was indicating what she wanted to hear.
2. Lisa states this happened to her when she was 11 years-old. A brother of a friend. It went on for a year. While I agree 11 is still young, I believe she could have chose not to see this friend in order to not see the brother? Why would she believe the story "I will kill your parents" at age 11? She seems to be an intelligent woman, and I would assume was an intelligent child. While I am not advocating or condoning abuse in any way, shape, or form, I just find this "story" a little hard to believe.
3. All of Rhonda's houseguests seem to have the same issue - their parents. Excluding Jessica, even in the past seasons, most of her houseguests have had some type of abuse from parents, siblings, relations, in their life. From reading her literature, it appears she also suffered abuse at the hands of her parents, etc. Is this her speciality?
4. I agree that you must get to the "nitty gritty" in order to get through it; however, I wish they could/would come up with another story line in addition to abuse as a child. Using it so often has ME questioning the integrity.
5. Playing my own devil's advocate, is this the "real" Lisa who can not show emotion and is manipulative? Is this the reason I am having such a hard time believing her story?
Just my thoughts.....
