Are Physical Therapist taught NOT to talk???

I'm having horrible pain issues with my knee, the most painful side of my back. I told the different personnel that have worked with me over there that my knee HURT, was POPPING, felt like it was TWISTING, & I'm having a HARD time walking on it! Not one of them have mentioned my knee! And, I said I need some kind of feedback from my initial consultation~~~isn't that proper y'all??
They act like I was asking to use their car for the night!! One of them told me that the initial paperwork stated the intake person noted I had a "pulled hamstring on the right leg"! AND?
I shouldn't have to go home & look it up, frustrated, don't know what the heck a damn hamstring is let alone how I got it to prevent from happening again or what to do with it now that I have it!!!
Disgusting! And the broad today says, after I told her my arms & hands were BOTH numb, are you ready to go on the treadmill????What!!!
How about the bike??? I said I can hardly walk!

She noticed how hard it was for me to get off the table & says well then we'll do it tomorrow! I don't get it...I keep asking God what the heck am I doing wrong??? more pain, stupid questions, no answers, no relief...what next???

Thanks for letting me vent....before I go back tomorrow and do the Towanda on them!

that is so odd my daughter's physical therapists are always talking about ways to improve her therapy sessions. If i have a questiuon the always answer them. Have you talked to a supervisor?
I think if you have that much of a problem with them have a sit down or find another agency.
Good luck,
Curly

You need to stand up for your rights as a human being
Those supposed Professionals and I use the very lightly are not doing
their job and worse they could further damage you knee by
not finding out the reason for the pain.
Have each person who is not hearing your request, to repeat to you what you just said too them!
ANY PROFFECIONAL would be able to repeat the exact position of your pain. And then work on
finding the right therapy for that pain.
I think you should do as momof22gg24 said, ask for their supervisor when they do not hear your words
I hope it will be better tomorrow Hugs

Although 'standing up' for oneself seems to be the right thing to do for some people, from experience of my own, I KNOW, it can also bring trouble!

Another day at Physical Therapy...upon entering I spoke to person at front desk about 'having to have something done or said to me about my knee.' Talk to therapist~~OK. When she first came in she said so you want to see your dr. about your knee, her goes my own 'special' language, and I said yes. I told her I need some kind of knowledge as to what the heck is happening. So she got me ready for the moist heat, & electro patches~~~facing the doggone wall so close that I was seeing it cross-eyed! I had't been up that long & she shuts the lights & cracks the door~~~oh brother! I know better than to tap my feet for fear the pads will fall on the floor again! Finally the buzzer goes off, after I've laid there with my bare back/butt side out to the world~~~racing thoughts & ruminating. She wanted me to lay on my back again...repeat...can't! So she says I will tape your knee to help it. OK, got finished, wobbled up (if you can do that trying to stand) and looked down at my knee! WHAT THE HECK? Never seen it before in my life!!! But had to laugh~~inside! I have these 'things' strips of stuff that looks like an ace bandage, 2" wide but cut down the middle to a point~~not all the way to end. Some of it taped at the top then the sides cut open made to lay AROUND the knee, couple on front & one on back! WoW-zer
new fandangos! She said to keep them on for 4 days, shower OK, wipe gently, the "tape" is already peeling~~got the good ole' first aid thin-kind-tape on the edges.

Yes, for me it's still shorts weather (don't like pants) & this all out here, new to most others, asking ???

Oh brother.....

hd.
i still say speak up.
I have learned thru it expierence because of my youngest and her therapy bttles. Her first physical therapist was horrible. It took a few but things got worked out. Have you tried asking about home therapy?

Just some suggestions.
