I have been using the King James Bible in my study. We are searching for a bible-believing church, so I don't have a pastor to ask questions. There are references to Holy Ghost in many cases. I have heard spirit used for ghost many times in teachings. Are they interchangable? Why is "ghost" not used, if that is the KJV reference? My concordance says that the American Revision renders ghost to spirit, but it doesn't give an explanation why.
I'm sure I could find out if I did some digging, but does someone just know the answer, off the top of their head?
Thanks for your time!
Christ's blessing
