I agree with all of your points, deededell. I hope you didn't think I was being critical of TJ, or minimizing her situation, I just thought the show didn't do the greatest editing job since there must have been much more about her story and I didn't get the flow of what was happening. I saw the cap and gown part and understood she feels she has been a disappointment to her father, but I guess I thought there would be more explanation. I didn't even know she had the learning disabilities until she was writing her steps, so I thought I missed some information somewhere. I like TJ's honesty and willingness to accept where she needs to improve. I don't at all think ADHD is insignificant. My stepson has it and my stepdaughter has Asperger's Syndrome (Autism) and I know the hardships they face.

I think that as viewers, we sometimes fall into the trap of expecting more and more "tragic" stories as new houseguests arrive. TJ's story (so far) doesn't seem much more tragic than any of ours. Does that mean she doesn't fit? Nah...I think there's much more to be revealed in TJ's story.

i wanted to run and call too when Rhonda asked if anyone wanted to be TJ's friend...i know that i have had a ruff childhood...abusive parents and just never "fit" in anywhere all through school...i didnt have many friends and the ones i did have were just so superficial...you know the kind that act like your friends until you leave the room then they turn around and talk about you and make fun of you...and because of the abuse from my parents i have alot of emotional and physical scars...

I agree with you Eileen on this... I don't think during the telling of TJ's story the Dyslexia and ADHD were mentioned. Now I know more about TJ, I can understand her actions/reactions clearer.
