Halfdollar I really do not know what the adults thought about why so many were saved and only one man lost his life that day. The man who was killed was not from our town. He was a worker staying in a travel trailer in the back yard of where he was doing handy work around the house.
I can only speak for myself, and at the time it never occurred too me that God may have protected everyone in that town.
I do know better now and looking back I am sure most families there would agree
we were protected by God and his angels.
This tornado is still listed as one of the worst tornado’s in Canadian history!
As for storms halfdollar, all my life I can remember walking in the worst of storms and never
being afraid! To this day I still go outdoors when I hear a storm is approaching.
I love the feel of the rain and watching and listening to thunder and lighting storms.
All my children and husband are the same. Even here in July, there was a bad look to the sky
And my husband and I went out on the second floor balcony too watch the storm roll through.
We found out hours later that the town 15 miles away was flooded and most of the town was
With out power. In the next county there were trees uprooted and large hail.
And there we stood in ah of the intense sounds of the wind and beauty of the lightning.
Guess you would call us the storm watchers, we often jump in the car to chase after and follow
the storms path.
I know storm nuts is more like it right!!
