Mydogkat, I love geology too. Do you follow the millions of years theory, or follow what many geologists, like Russ Hansen, who believe in a young earth? They are disproving evolution and confirming the Bible account of creation at every turn. What do you think?

mount st. helens did blow today ealrier but they think more will come. I have a ton of family in portland oregon. So i am worried.

Well I am not familiar with Russ Hansen. I do believe that science and the bible are true to one another. I think that time is infinite in the eyes of God. I believe that the land masses evolved through plate tectonics.

I too believe in infinite time. God was, is, and always will be. There are two choices, evolution and creation. I believe creation, and the truths of the Bible. It's beyond my understanding that the diverse earth and the creatures that live here came about by random chance.

I believe in an all-knowing God who has created this universe, all with a purpose in mind. Two references that support the Biblical approach I teach to my children are "The Young Earth", by John D. Morris, and "Those Mysterious Dinosuars, A Biblical Approach for Children, their parents and their teachers", by Norma A. Whitcomb.
