For me, Lisa chafes at me because of her mean streak. The girl is mean-spirited. So far, from what I've been able to glean, Jessica is also from an economically 'priviledged' background (her dad is a Dr.). And, she was also doted on. Yet, I like Jessica. That's because Jessica, unlike Lisa, is nice. I really do believe that what comes at one is a reflection of what one gives off. Lisa certainly gives off ugly. To me, a 40 yr old can no longer blame their upbringing for their choice to be mean to others.

Good point Jackee. It's not about economic status at all.

I think one reason Jessica is so nice, is because she lost her mom. Remember, she said before that she was a "brat".

If Lisa lost her parents, I think she'd be singing a different tune......

Maybe "brat" as in spoiled brat, but not mean spirited. Jessica is just simply a nice human being, and was that before her mom died. I believe. Frankly, I think "brat" may merely be her echoing what others have labeled her (The power of words). Others, controllers, labelling those who are not control-able to manipulate or to guilt trip them into obedience.

If Lisa lost her mother under similar circumstances her meanness would be amplified. She'd be bitter.

By the time a person reaches 40 years old, their pattern is usually set. Lisa has a high school diploma and nothing else. She has never held a job for very long or very often for that matter. Lisa is a dependant person, she is so unsure of herself, and yes, lazy, she will be lost when her parents are gone and she is 60 years old and no where to go except to a nursing home, so she can be taken care of there!! She really gets on my nerves, she has wasted the best years of her life running around like she is the queen of sheba or something. I hope Iyanla puts her out in a farm shoveling pig poop like Josie had to do!! She doesn't fool me a little bit, she is a lazy, manipulating, woman that only cares about herself. She should be taking care of her parents, not them taking care of her. What a selfish person!

I really think Lisa is overdue for an exercise similar to TJ's today. She absolutely needs to think before she speaks! Her continual talk about "prostitute" and all it's various definitions is old and very insensitive! She needs to be confronted about the fact that she is NOT being supportive by continually bringing up Christina's past. I believe she does this so that the focus never gets too deeply directed her way. I sure hope the LCs also see this and address this.
