Do anyone watch Joan of Arcadia, or the old Touched by an Angel? I know my husband does not like these shows, they do not tell the gospel truth, and give people some worng ideas about the God of the Holy Bible.
I was watching "Joan" the other day. She was in the hospital, and doctors said she had lyme's disease. That supposely explained her odd behavior, her seeing visions, and belief that God was talking to her. Now she is so upset, and doesn't believe in God at all, saying he is not real.
Now I am getting to my point. When she was in the hospital room, waiting to see her parents, she had some visitors. They all were the characters that portrayed God to her in her visions. They were all there, watching over, and "keeping her company" until family arrived. Do you think this is out there? I have had this experience. When I was in the hospital I heard voices, of what I thought was my dad and aunts. They were not really there, but in a strange way, they comforted me and helped me deal with the situation, while I was lying alone in my room. Shortly, I had real visitors, and I had to touch them to know if they were really there or not!
Has anyone ever felt the presence of someone, when you were really in need, and they were not physically there? I think it is God's way of giving us comfort in a frightening situation. What are your thoughts?
