Walk in Someone Else's 4 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 15
Shoes! Change your life with someone else, knowing them or not, take your choice! We all need to stand back & think that at times, myself included.
I have found that in only one week's time and 2 days, I can relate ALOT to Deborah. The anxiety ALL the time, the crying ALOT of the time (even times you don't know why!), feeling very out of place with others, always thinking others don't like you~~~I feel ALL that grief that she displays to be seen. NO, I'm not a liar and NO, I don't hold back at times & others like she did, hold back cuz' you know it's only going to be a big fiasco if you do speak your mind.

I'm just mentioning this because although we don't know and maybe never will know if Deborah suffers from any Mental Health Issues, we have to think what it would be like if you yourself acted that way without being able to do anything about it. Medication helps, truly, but it doesn't solve all the problems that come along with these Illnesses.
Once again, Thanks.

hsmom:

it had been bothering me how she appeared to others and no one else being able to understand her. That goes for not only the women in the house but all the "Posters" on both sites.

You know how HARD it is doing things we just do...these are symptoms of different Mental Illnesses. To HAVE to day in and day out live like this is a burden, in itself. Let alone having others not accept you.

For this purpose I am glad that Dr. Stan is in the house.

That's all...when I stay up late I ruminate more & more about the day, about things said on the board, racing thoughts about what I didn't do but what I'd like to do. It's a vicious cycle and am glad this webtv is here & that I am able to post on this board.

Did you hear how Dr. Stan referred to her as possibly being biochemical, without having control over her behavior?

I hope that Deborah can get to the bottom of her insecurities, and face what is really her true isses. We may never know them, but we know who does.

Yes, I heard Dr. Stan use the term: biochemical. I've never heard it used before.

Once I was diagnosed originally, it carried on with me. When other professionals noticed traits/symptoms of other illnesses it was just stated as to what it was. It's hard enough getting FACTS about your own issues let alone peop who don't know a thing about it throwing FALLACIES out there. You know what I mean?

I have seen it in books now it is a newer way of saying a chemical imbalance(sp)
it means the same i think they wanted it to sound nicer.
