Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I am glad I can come here and read the shows, if time or circumstance prevents it. Plus, I haven't checked the tape, but don't think the family taped the show for me in my absence! The last few shows are upon us, and they sound great.

Ok here is the recap of the last show of the season straight from tvgal.

OK ladies get your hankies ready it is a tear gerker for sure, but not as sad as last year with Josie and Chloe just sitting there, but close.

Wednesday 5/25

Is this really the last show of the season? I guess the only unanswered questions we have is what is going to happen with Allison and are they doing the same thing with the reruns this summer that they did last summer.

Iyanla is standing in front and says that before they start the second half of the double graduation ceremony she would like to ask the women to get their best finery and clothes out and join her tomorrow for Allison’s graduation.

Iyanla then proceeds to look back n Megg’s stay in the house. She says that Megg’s wasn’t afraid of the elevator, plane and car, she was afraid of being out of control. Iyanla says that Megg has learned something that some people never learn. She learned to ask for what you need.

Dr. Stan talks about Megg going up in the little plane. Dr. Stan tells her that he hopes she will now be able to go wherever she wants and travel the world and that she knows now that she doesn’t have to do it with no anxiety. That she can keep her anxiety, just know what to do with it.

Megg’s gift is $1500 travel gift certificate so that she can travel to New Hampshire to see her cousin. They also gave her 3 sessions with a psychologist that specializes in the fear of flying.

Megg says that she is so grateful to Dr. Stan especially. She said that healing isn’t pretty and she was humiliated more than once but she is glad for it. She says that she is so honored to be a part of the Starting Over house.

The phone rings and Vanessa answers and it is Karen calling from rehab. Karen says that it is hard and Vanessa tells her that they said a prayer for her.

Group is led by Iyanla and they call up Allison. Iyanla says that she is setting the stage for an incredible day for Allison with some surprises. They go over Allison’s steps. Allison tells what she has learned. She has learned to rest when she needs to and to say no and to put herself first. Allison tells them that her mom found a lump under her arm. In voice over Iyanla says that Allison is leaving the house and going to have her surgeries done. She is having a full hysterectomy and the other breast removed and reconstruction all done at once.

Andy Paige shows up for Allison’s make over. And she whisks her out of the room.
Iyanla tells the women that when Allison had her chemo she had set up a place at the hospital called the “Chemo Café” and she made all the muffins and it was a place that patients and family could relax. So the women are going to put together “Allison’s Café” out by the pool and that it will eventually be shipped back to her home to be set up at the hospital. Then she says that she has some help for them and in comes Allison’s best friend Patrick. (such a sweet handsome guy!) (the show has this rushed feeling to it since they are trying to wrap up everything. Maybe that should have had one less special!)

Andy and Allison come back from her make over. She has brighter red hair and it is poofier. And she has a beautiful black beaded outfit on. They have her close her eyes and take her outside to see “Allie’s Café”. Basically we see a lot of coffee, tea and books and products that have been donated for the café. Allison sits down and Patrick comes out from behind her with one of those silver masks on that they used in Layne’s exercise with her 3 “fiancée’s. He bends down with a tray in his hand and uses a French accent to ask Allison if she would like something. She answers him and then realizes it is Patrick. (this was funny).

It is Allison’s graduation and Iyanla makes a moving speech about how her being there also affected her because of how cancer has played a part in her life starting when her mother died from cancer when Iyanla was 2. Iyanla gives her a prayer shawl, but she calls it some word I don’t know so I will just call it a prayer shawl.

Rhonda tells her that she is angel that literally glows from the inside out. Dr. Stan says that he is starting on a lighter note. He says that his first run in with Allison was in group and he saw a breast prosthesis go flying across the room and hit Candy got hit in the face. We see the clip and Dr. Stan knew this was a woman with a sense of humor.

Then Patrick gets up to talk. (okay it is quick but very emotional!)
Allison’s gift is weekly sessions with a nationally recognized nutritionist for the next 3 months and with a trainer. She gets a top of the line treadmill.

Allison starts her speech by saying that she has never been able to say she was truly happy until today. She tells them that that saved her life and that Iyanla gave her life. Then she says that she can’t take anymore of this so she is ending here. Iyanla tells Allison that she has one more thing for her. Iyanla says that she knows that she still has many challenges ahead of her and that she wants to be there for her so she is inviting her to come back to the house for season 3 if she wants. Allison is crying and says that she does.She looks VERY relieved that Iyanla asks her to come back. (thank goodness! I thought they were kicking her to the curb. We will get to see her after all her other surgeries! Beware! Allison’s graduation is a big cry fest so I am giving you a tissue alert!)

The women all pack and are leaving at the same time. Each LC gives them a red rose as they leave. Vanessa says that she feels she is leaving a different person. Allison is the last to leave. The LC’s walk back in the house and Iyanla asks Dr. Stan if he is going to cry some more and they all laugh.

They show clips from the season. Wow you forget some of this stuff. I like the song they did it to. The last scene is Iyanla saying “What are you willing to risk in order to have total, complete control of your life.”

They then close with dedicating Allison’s story to Mary Ellen Bunim and Bonnie Bogard, two women who were instrumental in starting the show and both lost their battles with cancer.

The preview is for the first show of this past season. It is everyone talking about Deborah driving them crazy. It doesn’t appear that the reruns will be hosted like they were last summer.

the last episode is one of the best. I can't wait until Season 3 starts so I can see alison again.

This is so difficult to catch up with. we have both direct TV and several local channels. For A while I was getting the old Chicago SO on direct, and 2 different episodes one mid way in the Calf series and the other was newest episodes. Then the newest episodes stopped abruptly. I was watching Josie and Chole in both shoes. (Isn't Chole just the sweetest baby??)
