His behaviour sounds standard for an addict. Stay strong and hope for the best without compromising yourself. When he decides to succeed and truly begin recovery, he will. Until then, there's nothing anyone else can do. Good luck and hang tough.

I hope your sister recovers Netty. I know from experience any kind of addiction is a hard battle to fight and win. Hopefully she has the strength and support to beat those demons!! Good Luck to her and your family

I believe your family could be helped by a program like Al-Anon or a family of Narcotics Anonymous support group. Al-Anon is actually a group for families of alcoholics but contacting them they may be able to refer you to a group that would be able to help your siter through this very tough time.

Hang in there and keep praying. I'll be thinking of you and your family.

Good suggestion db! While my family was going through all the various addictions recoveries, they did it at one specific recovery home at various times. I attended weekly women's meetings that was similar to Al-Anon's objective. I gotta say that in understanding the addicted, I was able to better understand myself as well. I found it to be incredibly helpful.
