I, too, would love for Iyanla to give Simon the tough love treatment, Mercredi. I think that she is taking a different approach because she is trying to break down a cultural notion which is a big identifier for Simon. I am guessing that Iyanla feels that if she attacks his culture or his upbringing it will drive him farther away and stop any progress at all.
I feel bad for Kacie, too. I want to jump through the screen and give her a big hug. She does look scared all the time. She has a big monster in hre closet that she is going to have to get rid of, but I think with Iyanla's support she will get through it.
Not to sound pessimistic, but if things don't work for Simon and Kacie in the house as a couple, maybe they will ask Kacie to be one of the regular houseguests. I would really like to see her story through and I don't think they are going to accomplish that in just three weeks.
