My HEART GOES OUT TO ALL!!

I absolutely could not believe it when i turned on the news yesterday to hear talk of Rita. Just watched the evening news here in Austin tonight, and they were predicting Rita being possibly a category 4 storm on landfall. They are looking at landfall somewhere in texas, meaning we in austin could be in for a weekend of lots of rain, and more evacuees. They are just in the process of getting the last of the Katrina evacuees moved out of the Austin convention center but are now looking at having to keep it open... this time for texas evacuees. Said on the news that national guard troops have been sent to the texas coast, and mandatory evacuations are starting tomorrow night. The governor of Texas has asked the President to declare the state of texas a disaster area. YIKES. I can't believe its all happening again...

I know it's just awful. but the good news is that hurricane season is almost over.

Well, we have until November for the hurricane season to be over. But the worse of it is typically late August/September. Did you hear they only have four names slotted for this season? They are planning to start with the Greek alphabet next, if they have to. Hurricane Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and so on. I pray this is over soon.
