It does seem like there are a lot of grad students around here, how neat! Amanda, I also miss my family so much! I didnt realize what a support system they were during my undergrad! I wasnt going to go home for Thanksgiving, but I broke down a couple weeks ago and bought myself a plane ticket home
I'm getting my masters in Speech Language Pathology, with a bilingual specialization, thus the choice to go to texas

As far as getting in Amanda, in my opinion the schools for "service professions" like speech pathology and social work, are looking for grades and gre scores, yes, but more than that i think they want to see related experience and a true dedication to the field. As far as being able to afford it, i got lucky and got an assistantship, otherwise yeah its crazy expensive! I dont know if you have any bilingual skills, but there is a progam in NYC for social and work and speech pathology where if you are bilingual they will pay your way through grad school if you sign a contract to work for 2 years in a NYC school following graduation. I almost took advantage of that one! I also wanna work in the public schools.... for now though im just trying to focus on getting through 2 years of grad school!
Good Luck!
