Wow....just finished watching the first episode.
And I must say,I was impressed with Iyanla. She has a presense.
She exudes a peaceful, calm.
She is full of warmth and confidence. I like her. Those women (and us!) are lucky to share what this woman knows.
Yesterday was my sister's birthday. I gave her a book about famous women that had turned 50. Iyanla was in it.
This is some of what they wrote:
Iyanla Vanzant has come a long way.
Priestess,lawyer,best-selling author, television talk show host-she is a source of inspiration for millions.
Born in the back of a taxi to an unwed mother, she suffered an abusive childhood, underwent a teenage pregnancy, and went on welfare after leaving a violent marriage.
Determined to overcome the long odds, she worked her way through Medgar Evers College, graduating summa cum laude.Next, she attended law school at New York City's Queens College and did doctoral studies at Temple University. In addition to writing, she is executive director of the Inner Visions Spiritual Life Maintenance Center. The center's goal is to infuse the world with love and healing through workshops and seminars. She has 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
I am glad they chose her to be a Life Coach.
She definately has a beautiful, loving ,warm aura around her.
