Holy Cow!!!!!!
what a show!!!!
You know I would of liked to go through that camp. what a challenge.!!!!!!
Boy, I tell you those kids are messed up. If I ever acted that way with my parent or any adult, my mom would of smacked the *rap out of me.
I skipped class for the first time in 9th grade and I lived 1 block from the high school. when I turned that last corner and saw my mom standing right there, I' about died. She grabbed my hair and dragged me home from that corner with all the kids watching. I was so so embarassed!!!!. My mom was so strict when I was growing up.
Now a days if she did that, my mom would be going to jail for abuse.
I thank her now for being that way, cause look at me now!!!!JK !!!!
Good show that Brat Camp !

I love this show it is so great. i never knew anyplace like this existed. I amazed to see the hope that the counselors see in each child.

Isn't it something on watching them change and become a team player. The Liar gal is something else, but showed she is trying on the last show. The one that bugs me is the little guy. I noticed when they all where making the fire, they didn't show him starting his. plus he wouldn't go down the cliff. What I thought was amazing was when Frank helped him up after he fell with that big back pack on in the snow. that was great to see.
and the boy with the dexlexia, how I wanted to hug him when he was reading to the group. that was very touching and I was glad he got that bead necklace. Can't wait for wednesday.
Glad someone likes the show other then myself.

I really like this show too Lanie. I have a special place in my heart for kids like these...I fostered 5 teens at one time and then we took in a pregnant teen, making it 6 for a while...I think many people give teens a bad wrap from the beginning, only adding to they're already messed up feeling about themselves.....It's incredible when they start to trust enough to become vulnerable and begin to feel loved...Glad you are enjoying the show too.

I do have to say, and some may disagree with me, that's ok too! That it all starts in the home. Give them love and they will return it. Give them comps, steros, tv's, games, cars, etc and all they will want is more.

I never got those things growing up--parents couldn't afford it. We had one car. 4 teens driving all at once. Could we drive to school? No--that big yellow taxi took us!

I only gave and give my kids "things" when it is earned. My older son who is now 22 has a nice car, nice house, and a good wife! My youngest will not get a car, this is one thing he will have to get on their own.

Love and teach your children well and the results will come back two-fold!

I do feel for these kids and the ones out there who do not have a "home". Who are "passed" around. These are children. Show them respect and they will give respect. I am glad that there are good programs such as this one to help those children. Who knows maybe one of them will be your future Sentor, Gov, or next door neighbor!

Best to all
