Just a simple thought, but I know when you are not with your kids, for ANY reason, you look at alot of kids as your own and tend to get attached easily. I think that is what it is for Karen. Remember Karen said she had attached herself to Tess as well. I think she is trying to help where she can because her own daughters will not let her. She just needs to get some help for her first and I hope she can do it! Karen will be in my thoughts as well as Vanessa. I follow Gymnastics and got the privelage to see her for 2 years and I loved it. She showed her cuteness even then. But you could really tell there was not a whole lot of understanding with her mom. Which I remember very well. Even then I was so sad for her. It has been GREAT seeing her in this light. She is a cutie! If I had a daughter... I would think of her being like that. She cares so much what her parents think. Well if we are all proud then I hope her mom can show her she is proud too... alot!

You know that generally a roommate would tend to be close with the other.

I forgot how old Karen was but it just so happened that the roommate of Vanessa was a Mother. Like y'all said too that Karen in turn tended to "mother" Vanessa moreso due to the absence of her own daughters.

I heard Vanessa doesn't stick with the dancing, but guess that should be posted in "rumors", so sorry!
