As stated in the topic, I knew there was something about Karen. The whole time she was flying low under the radar while the focus was on Tess. On today's show when she was talking to Dr. Stan, she "pretended" to be crying, never saw one tear. It makes me wonder how all these fakes are getting on the show. Neither Karen or Tess had any credibility, they were/are both liars. I also think its wrong that Vanessa had to put off her graduation for the SO LC's and participants to talk with Karen.

One more thing, did anyone see Megg try to kiss Karen, oh well it'll all come out next week. What a week at the SO house.

I have to diagree with you on this one, sugahmama. I don't think Karen is a fake, I think she is proably a recovering alcoholic and she had to much on her mind and she is a very weak person, so she did just what a lot of other people do, tried to find the answer in the bottom of a bottle. I think she is right where she needs to be. She truly needs help and she has gone a long time without seeking it. I never saw a thing out of the way with Meg, if she did indeed try to kiss her, went right past me. I don't even think Megg is gay, or bi-sexual, she is just so confused and scared right now, she will have to figure this out for herself. I don't believe in self-medicating yourself, it is too dangerous, but one goes hand in hand with the other. Most alcoholic's are drug abusers too. Let's not be so harsh on Karen, She has a lot of problems and it will be very interesting to see how the LC's deal with this. Maybe she needs rehab or NA, I hope she gets straight for herself and her daughters sake too. Alcoholism is sometimes hereditary.

I missed the very end of the show... What did the LC's tell Karen about how they were gonna deal with this? The part that I saw was Karen really scared and I think personally that she threw the thing about Meg in there because of meg's newest "revelation"... so to speak... I think she was trying to get the focus off of her... which when someone is in pain, they sometimes do. I think when Dr. Stan mentioned her maybe going to a place to deal with her depression first... maybe she tried to "play right" and no one really saw how bad she was getting because of the whole Tess issue. At first I kinda thought it was a pretty crappy thing to do, blame meg, but I truly think it was to get the attention off of her. I have an alcoholic husband who does the same crap sometimes. I just think that Karen needs help and I hope she can get it. Remember I think she is a little eccentric too!! WOW! She is different anyway, much less to be on medication and alcohol. I think that Karen needs alot more help. Wherever she is I wish her the luck... Just my simple thoughts anyway!

Okay I relent. Maybe I was a little harsh. But like you two said, she really needs help, from AA or NA or maybe both, plus a little visit to an outside therapist wouldn't hurt either

Sugarmama- you are so right about trying to shift the blame. My Dad was also an alcoholic and he used to piont to my mother and say "it's you , it's you". It was a family joke for years. One time I even said it to my Dad in front of my mother and sister, we all laughed except for my father of couse.

I think Karen doesn't get it either and this is way she can't let her daughter be and keeps pushing for reconcilation with her. Looks like she is in some real trouble which is pretty sad.
