I found Cassie's dramatics and whining to be so exhausting. Her pursuit of this boy and his family was wrong. Had I been the adoptive Mom I may not have lied to my son but would have moved heaven and earth to keep this wack job away from him.
She chose to use drugs before, during and after the birth
She chose to not use birth control
She chose to give the baby up for adoption
She probably (from her addict days) has little cognitive memory of exactly WHAT the adoption terms were.

It was the responsibility of the adoptive parents to keep that child safe not to pacify or welcome Cassie into their lives. Her being adopted by them was not part of the deal. To show up at their home loaded for 4 years after the birth borders on criminal.
I believed the show really erred when they supported the reunion. What is occuring is too personal and far to emotionally damaging to all involved. Cassie is a selfish whiney child that got her way on TV.

YES! Absolutely!

Cassie has absolutely NO Accountabilty...NONE.

If she was, in fact, a CO-PARENT, where was her Financial responsibilty?????

Cassie admitted to showing up Drunk, calling on the phone, drunk...multiple times....Is this a Mother??? Is this Responsible??

Cassie was Not Naive....she was a drunk, drug addict.....Using anyone and everyone she could, so as not to take responsiblity.

SHE IS IN THE SAME PLACE TODAY!

Playing on sympathy...Working Her Scams.....

my feeling is that even if cassie and the adoptive parents had an arrangement whereby cassie could be involved in the child's life, the adoptive parents loyalty and commitment is to their son--not cassie. if cassie is showing up drunk, using drugs, etc... they had a responsibility to protect their son. cassie needs to look at her responsibility in losing the contact.

accountability was hard for cassie. she never really moved out of her victim mode of thinking.

Cassie is a victim she has messed her brain up with drinking and is slow in her thinking she needs people to take care of her. Cassie was wronged and now the wrong has been made right i say go Cassie go.

Cassie's drinking, drugging, lying and scamming, were a result of "Cassie's Bad Choices". Sorry, but society should not have to take care of Cassie. Cassie could get a job as a Cashier or a Waitress. She could Clean Houses or Hotel Rooms. She could do something to take care of herself. Many people that have had a rough time of it, turn their lives around. Cassie just choosed not to.

Using other's and taking advantage of other people, is not "making a wrong, right."

you make good points i guess i see her as weak, childlike, who needs to be loved by her son. her baby voice alone makes me want to take care of her.

You also make a good point, she does know how to "work people". She is 43, yet, she knows how to manipulate with her baby voice and her weakness, yet......Don't mess with her hair!!!! Remember how she threw a fit and started screaming!

My point is, she wants to be viewed as a mother...yet she does not want the "Responsibilty" that goes along with it. Cassie wants to be "Admired", but she does not want to "Earn it". To me, Casssie is the "Eternal Drop-Out"....I do not pity her, I do not feel that she is "Deserving" of a Free Ride. Life kicks many of us in the backside, I know, I have been there. But, as adults and particularly as parents, we need to step up to the plate and work for what we desire.

It is high time that Cassie steps up to the plate. I am not fooled by her.
