I read that the soaps are safe for a long time and Oprah is safe because she doesn't employ union workers. I think Housewives may be in danger. I used to watch it, but then fell out of interest.

Luckily the writers strike doesn't realy affect me since I have barely watched TV since January. I doubt it will have the impact they want anyway. Most of the most popular shows now are reality shows. It will only effect a few of the top shows.

The past few years I think TV has gone down hill anyway, too many of the shows are just reusing old plot hooks that have been done to death.

I'm just concerned about shows I really like that are probably filmimg right now, like Big Love. I hope their _script_s were already in place. I will be very upset if there new season gets delayed because of this.

Most of the stars are saying the writers deserve this raise and the bosses, whoever they are, should give them what they want. I don't know much about the details and I don't know what these people make, however, it is difficult for me to feel too sorry for people who make over a 3 figure salary, when I know single parents struggling on much less. I guess the slary range for writers may vary though.
