Why is it you don't like OPRAH?....
because she is rebuilding South Africa with Schools for the Poor, Starving South African Children?
or is it.....
because SHE has DONATED 10 Million DOLLARS out of HER POCKET towards the Rebuilding of Katrina???
or is it.....
because She is having JON BON JOVI on her show today, another Person who happens to be a Rock Star, and a SUCCESSFUL one, that is Encouraging GIVING....
off-hand I don't know the Organization(s) Jon participates in but he did sing with Richie Sambora who is Heather Locklear's husband on the concert that had to do with the ONE.org Campaign ..... to END Poverty!
OH! the Dude in my Avatar hsmom is KID ROCK! who I saw this Summer in Concert! I did mention on the site somewhere that KID donated HIS own plane to fly goods down to the suffering People that have been displaced by Hurrican Katrina!
**It's ALL GOOD hsmom, the looks of the People don't matte to me .... their GOODNESS does!

First I want to say to hsmom, that above post didn't come out like I meant it to.... I was laughing when I read your post about not liking Oprah.... but when I posted it didn't come out right and I apologize for that. I did want to state some of the things that Oprah is doing that stuck out in my mind.
BON JOVI was AWESOME!
They sang & the audience screamed! ha!
For real... Jon handed a check at the end of the show that was from all the Band Members that was for ONE MILLION DOLLARS! to go towards her ANGEL NETWORK! She stated that that is the most one-time Donation she had ever received for the Angel Network! CooL!
JON is such a GIVING-PERSON, he and his wife. They showed where he had gone to a school (didn't hear where - someone help out here??) and he gave them all a present to open which was clothing from THE GAP! and $300. Gift Certificates for clothes from THE GAP!
They also received Backpacks filled with School Supplies and each got a Computer but I forgot where those were from. Although some of these items were Donated thru Companies, Jon does alot of the spending himself.
BON JOVI is started a WORLD TOUR & all the peeps in the audience gets tickets to go! shucks! And part of proceeds from one of the songs on the new CD will be donated to Katrina Relief Fund.
YOU ROCK BON JOVI!!!!!
