Please be very careful about the private information that you give on on SOT. This includes both the public areas and the private messaging system.

There have been a lot of sites who have had their databases attacked recently. While SOT has not been hit it is still possible that such a thing could happen. It is a possibilty that a hacker could gain access to the private messaging database.

Also please be aware that as the owner of this site I do have access to the private messaging system. While I do not make it a practice of reading private messages, if I have reason to believe there is a safety or legal issue, I may read private messages.

I would like to remind SOT users to be careful giving out private information.
