Did anybody watch the Democratic Presidential Debate last night? If so who did you like and who didn't you like?

Going in I really like John Edwards and I'm not sure why but he really turned me off during the debate.

Surprisingly I really ended up liking Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico.

Post edited by: Tara, at: 2007/06/04 11:40

I didn't see it, but I saw some bits and pieces. They said that John Edwards criticized Hillary and Obahma for not speaking up in Congress more about the war. I think he said they didn't show leadership when they could have. I thought that the responses he got from both of them were pretty good.

I like all three of them. Obviously, I have supported Edwards since he is from my city. The learning center for high school students they built and maintain in honor of their deceased son, Wade is not far from my home and just down the street from my office. He and his wife practiced law here in Raleigh before he went to Washington, so I feel I have a connection to him and I do think he has good ideas. However, I don't know if he can win.

I think there is a lot time for us to see who is going to pull to the front. I saw Chris Matthews yesterday where he had a panel of political journalists. The views varied, but some thought that Gore may put his name in the hat, in Novemeber if he is nominated for the Nobel. Some thought that Gore and Obahma would make a good Democratic team. It is tough to predict.

I am not familar with Bill Richardson. I may recognize him if I see him. I'm sure they will rerun the debate at some point, or better yet, they will have another one.

I was just hoping that they don't tear each other apart so bad that it makes it look silly to then get behind each other in the end.
