Scott peterson was found guilty today for the deaths of his wife laci and and unborn son conner. They found him guilty of 1st degree murder for laci's death and 2nd degree murder for conner's death. It is so sad but laci's family finally has peace.

It's a sad day and age we are living in. Will always wonder WHY these young men, my generation, have to turn to such vile, evil-driven acts against another human being, no less their own wife!!! And being with child, baby ready to be born, taking it out on them both, the innocent ones because of their own demented minds. I hate the act---why they just can't let them go on with their lives and them do the same. It's all beyond me...in these times is when we all need to go to the Lord in prayer!
I cannot even choose to give him another thought.....

Post edited by: Halfdollar, at: 2004/12/05 17:28

It seemed to me that Scott Peterson thought he would get away with it but I'm glad the jury found him guilty. That's the way I saw things but didn't follow the trial that much. At least this way he will get punished in the life AND the next. Too often they get away with it in this lifetime but will spend their eternity in hell. Of that I am sure of. So sorry for the family's loss. My prayers and sympathy go out to Laci's family.

On the radio I heard a discussion of this case, and I agree with the statements. Peterson's case is an example of how killing an unborn child is a crime. Why then, can mothers and doctors do the same thing? The baby is a baby, just the location changes. Whether in the womb, or in mother's arms, this is a child to be loved and cared for.
One lady put it this way. A child is on a life boat. That child doesn't have a chance, with no one to watch over him. As soon as there is an observer, everything changes. Someone knows he is there, and does everything to bring him home to safety. An unborn child needs to be brought home, to the arms of a loving parent, whether by birth or adoption. I hope that murder is not allowed as a choice in this country for long, IMO. I give all the mothers credit who knew they couldn't raise their child, and went through the painful process of giving their child up for adoption to give him a chance at life. I in no way want to upset or judge any moms reading this, just want to share my thoughts today.

Is it that no one read this, or no one had an opinion? Or were afraid to share?? Is it safe to avoid religion and politics, sure. I just thought there would be more discussion.
What does it look like for the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade in January? Are there more in favor or opposed to this in our country today? My mom and I used to march on this cold January anniversary.
