hd you are correct they did already have a Memorial Service for Lorie.
But as the mother said on the Oprah show.
"They did this because there was no body and they could not continue too wait to see if they would find her daughters body. The job of finding her remains were so remote because of where she was dumped that they thought it would be better to have somewhere to go to say their goodbyes too her.
Now that they have her body Iam sure they will have a proper Service for their daughter and grandchild.

Lori's Mother was on Oprah once and Oprah gave her $50,000. towards the scholarship fund the Mother wanted to start. Is this going to be an Update to how much she has raised towards this fund? Maybe?
