I get so excited to share on Sundays, and I guess this is where to put it. I share with my family, but they have heard me. Not that I want to cause anyone hurt or offend, I'm just so excited to share.
We talked about the covenants in Ladies Bible School. I have only studied the Bible for the last seven years, and I didn't even know they had names!!! The covenant between God and Adam was called the Adamic covenant. God cursed the earth after Adam sinned, but he also made an unconditional promise that Satan would be defeated by Christ. There are more, and so exciting to me the promises God has made to us, that he will fulfill, even when we can't see how it could possibly happen.
There is so much to learn, and the more I study, the more I know I don't know! We will never have all the answers while we are here on earth. We studied the parable of the good Samaritan during church time. I didn't even know that Samaritans were the result of the first time Jews and Gentiles got together after the capture of northern Israel in 722 BC. That's why the Jews hated them so much, they weren't "pure". We are all from Adam, and all from Noah's line after the flood, so it's so sad to see the divisions. I wouldn't care about the race or culture of any girl my boys choose to marry. I do pray they find Christian women, no matter the race.
From the bulletin--To put it shortly, the church forgets that Christianity is not an attitude of mind, but a type of life: a man's spirit is not known by his opinion, but by his action and general conduct.
Oh, how I fall so short!! But with God's grace, he gives us hope.
Another quote from Pastor--God is more concerned with what happens IN US, and not what happens TO US.
Thanks to all of you who have been supportive to me during my church search. We haven't joined this church, I want it to be a family decision. My boys and I really love the studies, and the people.
I know I have grown in so many ways, by opening myself up to the Banditas here. Thanks for the kindness from all.
take care!!
