How about that? I sed to work at one of the busiest Airports in the US, Dallas/Fort Worth Airport. Before I actually worked at the Airport, I worked in one of American Airlines Bldgs. near the airport making up Simulated Flights for the Flight Attendant Trainees. I packed the supplies needed on any given flight, which ever was assigned, along with the meal for that flight. Yes, actual food! I nprepared enough for the class & they actually sat in a 'classroom' made up of half an airplane. The real seats, ovens, aisle, overheads. It wsas quite the job, every piece of equipment for the assignments had a number, every cup, saucer, plate, fork & spoon. Teapots, trays, everything.

I them went on to work at the Airport at a Newsstand, this was about 86-90. I was able to go outside of my 'shop' and got in contact with passengers. It was WILD at that Airport! I loved the RUSH! the Hurriedness. Everybody going, going---quick! They are in the store trying to buy a newspaper & gum and their flight has already boarded 2 gates down! What a RIOT...

The best part is seeing the AIRLINE Reality Show that is on A&E, I think. It's just like that, but no, I didn't have to deal with the passengers in that matter, just in the shops.

Memories...a means of escaping Reality!

Wow that sounds like fun. I really want to work in the airline industry. I have wanted to be a flight attendant since I was young. I didn't go for it and I did something else. Now my stepfather works for Delta and he says it's great. I live in San Diego so it's not a major hub like Dallas/Fort Worth is so it's pretty hard to get a job here.
I haven't checked out the show on A&E, but I had seen some commercials for it. What time does it go on in your area? I know it will probably be different in my area but at least it will give me an idea.

Anyway...everyday I seem to learn something new about you! So you worked at the airport! Cool!
A client of mine told me about the show"Airline" And I caught a couple episodes.You're right about the activity and urgency going on!
The employees dealing with the people and their situations have to think on their feet! Not to mention staying calm ,in control and alawys professional!
That is why I loved the show "Blow Out" Since it dealt with the profession I am in.It was a reality show in a beauty salon in Beverly Hills! The only difference is I don't get to charge $ 400. a haircut !!!
Anyway..I guess that is why we are drawn to these reality shows!
We see ourselves in them and know that we are not alone....and also get to walk in someone else shoes.....among other reasons of course!!!!
That brings me to Starting Over!
Can't wait for the new season! One of my FAVORITE reality shows!!!
