Starting Over Talk - Peer Coaching Support Site

My mom actually kept her promise to me that she would call me, she told me on Christmas eve that she would call me in about two weeks or so. Well about three weeks passed and I hadn't heard anything from her, I started to think she had faked me off or forgt all about me but she didn't. She finally got to call me on January 20th. We talked for a while and had a few good laughs, and then the best part of all was right before we had to hang up the phone. She told me "I love you" and of course I told her that I love her too, just goes to show that God does hear every word that we say and as our words go up to Him, He sends His blessings down to us. I'm very happy that she actually kept her promise to me, it's one of the very few times she has but what counts is that she did keep it. Please remember her, her step-son, and her husband in your prayers. They were living in a trailor and the the person they were renting it from sold it while they were still living in it and didn't tell them, he showed up suddenly on new years eve and evicted them right then and there as well as turned off their power and water. They are all three now living in a one bedroom apartment and although she didn't do right over the years, she deserves better than that so please just help me to continue to pray for them as well as my dad. I'm not sure where my dad is, but I dontaed blood the day after Christmas and I just happened to see someone who had seen my dad about two weeks before that. They told me where he was when they last saw him, and if he's still there then he only lives about five minutes up the road from me. Please help me pary that if he is then I will be able to find out for sure and contact him, thanks to everyone who has given me advise and most of all for your prayers.

Sue, I'm really glad to hear that things are beginning to work out with building a relationship with your mom. You will probably wind up being her biggest blessing... and I will pray that you both will be able to make up for past missed opportunities.. You know you can't undo the past.. and can only look forward.. Glad that it seems she is beginning to embrace you and acknowledge you for the lovely and sensitive young woman you obviously are.

I'll continue to pray about those things that concern you. Thanks for keeping us posted.

Yes I thank and praise God for working on her and answering my prayers, she really looked so good when I saw her on Christmas eve. It has been a while since she last called, but that's because she has to work and I totally understand that. Hopefully she can and will call again soon, thanks for your support it really helps more than you know.
