Sick House 1 Year, 5 Months ago Karma: 1
Awhile ago, I made quite a few posts about some health issues I had. Many came when Oprah exposed the dust mites we all have that can cause some serious allergy problems. I went crazy in my house with cleaning. I had such bad symptoms, I would have done anything. I saw several doctors because I had more that just stuffy head and runny nose. I had body aches and pains, muscle weakness and skin problems. I researched everything I could. I even took my home tap water to the state inspection lab and had it tested for heavy metals. The water was fine.

March 1, 2007 I moved my law office into another building. Both offices are located in old historic homes that have been converted into offices. Shortly after my relocation, I began to have fewer and fewer symptoms. It was the first relief I had had in 2 years! I was in the old office for 3 years. I had thought about the timing of my symptoms with moving into the first office, but, never could put my finger on it.
My office mates got unexplained headaches and also had other symptoms.

Yesterday, I was riding by my old office to look at the flowers we planted before we moved out. I saw a worker repairing the back ramp. We started talking and he told me that they had a HUGE BLACK MOLD problem inside the house. I instantly knew that is what had made me so sick. I never saw any mold, but, he said it was in the vent system.

If you have unexplained illnesses, CHECK OUT your vents and all around your house and office. It could be mold. Now, I have to find out if the symptoms will completely go away or if there are any long term injuries that occurred.

We were innocently in a sick house that made us sick too.

Debby...........

That's why I had to move into our camper last summer while my hubby took out the old shower and replaced everything. It was full of mold!!! The previous homeowners did a terrible job and it leaked for years unbeknownst to us!!

I still have allergies.......but I do feel lots better and I do have less migraines now!!
