I doubt that the viruses you have been getting have anything to do with this site. I have yet to get any associated with the email addresses I use for this site. I get many sent to other email addresses though. More than likely somebody who has you in their outlook address book has an infected computer.

Yeah, I haven't received anything that looks like it would come from here. But I also still have friends that put everyone's e-mail addy in the TO line so that I think half of the free world now has my e-mail addy!!!!

I just automatically delete absolutely anything from my e-mail that comes from anyone I don't know personally. And hubby does keep our virus programs up to date!

The only thing I could figure out to do was to pull up the profile..and report the user.. Not sure if it would go straight to you or not.

The contact info on the menu...had a #... I don't have a cell so I wasn't about to try that.

I've been looking around for some other way to contact you short of pm'ing you...

I got another wierd email today similar to the one I rec'd the other day but with different people's name's.. I reported it to yahoo as spam..I think it's connected to the first one.

I may pull my email info from my profile if it's there.

I hope everyone has updated their software that protects their pc's from virus'es. Just in case!

KPW,

I'm not familiar with yahoo, I use hotmail but doesn't yahoo give you the option where you can only receive mail from your contacts? This way here you won't receive any unwanted emails from ppl that you don't know and from spam.

Thanks Nadia..

I don't really have people keyed into my contacts there.. I actually haven't even tried on all the bells and whistles! I am somewhat of a computer novice.. I feel good that I can navigate search engines and do the basics! I know I can at least type! LOL!

I did see that yahoo had a spam button and I know even without that they automatically filter things that appear to be coming in bulk... (mass mailings)..and those go to a bulk 'category' (for the lack of a better or more appropriate term). I occasionally check those out, and that is where they definitely tend to go..all those stupid emails about mortgages and viagra and other drugs.. So it does a pretty good job of filtering 95% of the junk. There are some that come through bulk that I did sign up for.. but those are usually once a quarter or monthly 'mailings'.

Maybe hitting the spam button on the recent ones will help divert future ones to 'bulk' heaven or yahoo blocks the isp.

Not sure how they do it on their end. I really should look around my yahoo and get more familiar with it's capabilities..

Tara, I don't want you to think I was complaining.. I was looking for a way to contact you quickly just so you knew what was happening and saw the same page Nadia did.. We appreciate you and this site and know it's beyond anyone's capabilities to be on 24/7... I do very much appreciate you... this site, and the cyber friendships forged here..

I know my husband recently updated one of our computers browsers...and the SO page looked alot different to me.. I know there was another time that depending on which browser I was using on another forum.. different features were available.. (or missing) Could that be the case here?
