What I know for sure about relationships is that if you don't put yourself out there and take a risk you will never know what can be. Rhonda is doing what she thinks and feels is right for her. I believe she is trusting her instincts and her intentions and hopefully he is doing the same. Besides Colorado sure is a great place to live.

I have never been to Colorado, but, from what I have seen and have been told, it is a very beautiful place to live for many reasons.
However, Rhonda has mentioned several times that it bothers her that she has not met friends there....at least not friends that she considers close.

I think Rhonda is definitely taking chances with that relationship and that is something I guess I have been so burned on that perhaps I am too skeptical as I said earlier. THis is something I must work on.

I thought her Institute was based in Colorado... Long before the beau showed up... Just perhaps a different city or maybe she only lived there in the off season..

The institute is based in Boulder.. Not sure if it always was.. or if she moved it from one city to another to accomodate her personal life.. But I'm positive it was Boulder during SO season 2..

Yes the Fearless Living Insitute is in Boulder. I bumped into Rhonda a couple of times out and about in Boulder during SO hiatus. She isn't living too far away from the institute living in the Colorado mountains, probably no more than a couple hours drive.

I didn't mean to minimize it - it is really hard to take risks in relationships. The challenge is we never know until we try and trying takes trusting ourselves (one of my issues). And when it turns out badly then it makes it more challenging for the next time.

I sympathize with Rhonda about making friends. I find it's more difficult to connect with people as I get older.

Jan 10/07 - New Blog Entry

Just wanted to mention that Rhonda has updated her blog. Nothing really exciting (MO) She talks about her 6 day retreat she was on.

I admire anyone who can be silent for 6 days! I am a private person and spend a fair amount of time alone and I actually enjoy my alone time, however, if I sat and thought about me and my life without speaking for 6 days, I'm afraid I would go crazy. I think you must have a really great life to do that. Maybe it sounds like avoidance, but, if I dwelt on all the issues in my life for that long, I think, it would put me more into a state of anxiety than tranquility.

I do enjoy sitting on the beach and just relaxing without any music or agenda, but, I do like to have something to read after an hour or so of just resting. Rhonda must have a very disclipined mind.

Also, the girl she referrs to is actually her boyfriend's daughter...correct???? Do people normally refer to their boyfriend's child as their child? She doesn't have a daugther of her own does she? I had thought she didn't.
