Starting Over Talk - Peer Coaching Support Site

After watching SO today (3/1/06) I ran over into the next show. The show that follows it is "Blind Date" (a dating reality show of, you guessed it, blind dates). Imagine my surprise when one "blind date" couple met with a therapist, and with a picture segment and his name below "Dr. Stan Katz" appeared. BLIND DATE??? IMO, that is one of the lowest reality shows there is.

I am hoping that anyone will have an explanation as to why Dr. Stan was on this reality show also. Any guesses? Comments?

I don't know the answer but I'd like to know more. Let me make sure I get this straight. Was Dr. Stan on the show as a professional or a contestant? I think he's married so he's probably there in the role of advisor. I think Dr. Stan has great ideas on dating and relationships and those contestants on Blind Date really need all the help they can get in that area.

I'll keep my eyes open for the show to see if I can find it. You know with all the speculation about SO not being picked up for another season, maybe we should suggest a show with Dr. Stan counseling people. He is a renowned psychologist. I've checked out his credentials and they are quite impressive. Did you know he was the expert witness in the Michael Jackson criminal trial? He has the looks and the personality to carry his own show. What do you think?

I saw him on that show too. I was just flipping the remote control and saw him and I was like what the hell. I can't believe he was on that show. Why Dr Stan why?

I don't know about blind date but I wondered about Dr. Stan when he was telling Christie that Alcoholism is a disease and a disease can be cured, I'd love to know how may diabetic, MS, cerebral palsy etc etc diseases he has cured, these diseases can bE arrested but never cured, I'm wondering how qualified he really is and I don't thinks a real thereapist would be caught dead on "blind Date"
