Well it's good she doesn't have anything nasty to say about the show. I wonder if she and Meredith feel awkard that the show has done so much better since they departed. Meredith has a great job of course, but, I still miss Katie in that position.

I saw a recent photo of Star and she did not look well. I mean she didn't look very healthy. I hope she's not having problems with her stomach surgery. Her face looked tired, worn and thin.

She also said she "wished them well, and hoped they'd do the same for her." I have not followed her story, but was a little shocked by the photograph in the news item. She did look better with a fuller face...not sure I would have recognized her "in a crowd."

Meredith was my favorite when I did watch...glad to hear she is doing so well. Was the job offer the reason she left? (I'm out of the loop, obviously! )

Meredith said the job offer was the reason she left. You know it meant much more money and of course replacing Katie was an honor, although, I don't know if I could adjust to that early schedule, even though I did work swing shifts once. Getting to work every morning by 5:00 a.m. is not my idea of a fun job. I guess you would need to leave your house by 4:30 a.m. to get there.

I always liked Meredith on The View. She was my favorite, but, the show used to be very low key. Now it is very upbeat and exciting.

I think the whole thing with AI is that Frenchie was disqualified by the producers because of the images and to date this other girl hasn't been.


I think it's so funny the media reporting Rosie "went off"...lol, that's going off?? I think they forget sometimes she is there to give her VIEW..and I would hardly call what she said about the show "going off".

I don't always agree with what she says, or any of them for that matter, but they are on a show where they are paid to give their views on topics..we don't have to like it.

The Rosie/Frenchie AI thing was in the Hot Topics... and was ALREADY an Issue BEFORE Rosie gave her opinion on the matter. (Just like Barbara says, that EACH of the host's views are theirs alone!)

With that said, think ANY of them can give their own opinion and let it be at that! Just like JOY is now stating Her Opinions more openly!

But Frenchie & other Protesters were going to be Protesting outside AMERICAN IDOL's SHOW on Tuesday's Show... that is why it was brought up to begin with... Frenchie is the one who thought it was "double-standard" for the show not to oust Antonella, yet they did her due to 'racy photos' on the internet! Remember Frenchie was making money... and didn't deny it. These of Antonella are being Denied that it is even her!

Is the JUDGE out on this one?? haha...

I do agree that Rosie didn't "go off" on the subject from what I've seen.

I think the big difference between Barba and Davis is Davis was paid for those pictures. I do believe she went totally topless and appeared to be doing something sexual in those photos as well. According to a leak at AI, they say that the producers do not believe that the racier ones are not Barba and that the ones with the Wet T-shirt was posted without Barba's consent.

With Davis there was no doubt she not only had those pics taken but was also paid and signed a release for them to be posted on-line. Was she upfront about those pics from the beginning- that I don't know.

Frenchie is now seeking something more from AI.
"Davis would welcome a public apology from them as “a great start.” But she said she is owed more for “the manner in which I was humiliated and the manner in which Antonella was defended and protected by the same people who humiliated me.”

“Now they need to come to the table and see what we can do to make up” for her treatment, Davis said. She declined to say if she would seek a financial settlement or a record contract or other deal."

I've looked at the ones that they say for sure are Barba... I'd hate to think of what would be the rules if some disgruntled ex posted totally nude pics of a contestant... should they be kicked out for that? I guess it may not be a question of racism but a question of where the line is drawn.... paid vs unpaid, was the pics meant to bring in money, fame, or for personal use only. Granted... AI is one of the rare reality show booked as "Family show" so the standards are a few notches above programs like The Batchelor(ette).

Personally I don't believe AI is racist... look at Ruben, Fantasia, there is a mix of races on there.... Even if Barba asked for those photos to be placed on the internet... it won't get her to be the winner... her voice doesn't back that up. I do believe that those pics can only get a person so far... but not to the winners circle and then you won't be known for your talent but more as a racy pic.
