I didn't know who she was up until about a year or 2 ago either. But she is more famously known for her 30 minute meals show on the Food Network. She has a quirky warm girl next door type personality and she's everybody's typical cook. She advocates using lots of short cuts and being creative.. She wound up hosting a couple other shows as well. $40 a day... which has her traveling around the country (and world) and basically visiting tourist areas and finding great deals. $40 a day would be alot for the way our family eats.. but for those who vacation to splurge $40 a day can be a bargain.. She gives tips on finding the best places and also things to do in that particular city she's visiting. She also did another show where she visits with a major celebrity and they cook up something or review their restuarant. (some celebs get involved by lending their name or resources as an investment).. I think she's done a few specials too. She's more everyone's everyday cook rather than Mario Batali or Emeril.. Maybe a younger perkier version of Paula Deen..
Rachel would probably make a great guest on talk shows...but not sure if she can make the leap from her regular venue to her own talk show. She wound up falling into success from what I hear. I think she was doing a spot on a local news show or something originally.
If you saw her you'd probably recognize her... Her face has been on many magazines!
I found a link for you... which reminded me, she also has her own magazine and I'm sure her face has been on that one as well!
